"Part of the College’s annual calendar is a staff party which needs to successfully engage an extremely wide audience. Over the years we have refined this event but key to its success is the quality and professionalism provided by the music. This year, for the first time, we featured The Starving Rascals who were truly sensational! Mixing old with new and fully engaging with the audience it was truly a memorable evening with a band that seemed almost part of the party itself!".

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for Saturday nights gig, in the marquee, at Walsall Cricket Club.

A fantastic set of varied music that rocked the marquee and had the dance floor full from start to finish.

Polished, professional, perfect. I’ve had nothing but great comments from those that attended.

I look forward to seeing you playing live again and would urge any event organiser, looking to make sure they have a great night, to get in touch with you.

Thanks again

Hi guys,

We just wanted to drop you an email to thank you so much for coming to play at our wedding. You really were the icing on the cake of a beautiful and perfect day. Our guests sprung into action to dance to your lively and entertaining sets (despite being stuffed full of delicious food) and were brimming full of praise for your music.

The choice and variety of songs were just spot on, from old classics to recent hits, you kept everyone on the dance floor. Your passion and enjoyment in playing was so clear, and we personally think that it’s what makes you! If you hadn’t stopped playing, people wouldn’t have left and the venue staff would have had to vacuum around them!

Not only did you play two great sets, but you truly entertained our guests. Our personal highlights were being allowed to come behind the mics to belt out ‘ride sally ride’, and taking a moment out to stand on the balcony seeing all of our family and friends enjoying themselves.

So, thanks again, and we will most certainly be recommending you to our friends.

Hi Guys, I wish to thank all the Starving Rascals Band Members for the brilliant job you did at our daughter's Wedding Evening Reception. It is difficult to choose a band for a wedding as there are often so many age groups to please and there is a temptation to play safe but risk ending up with a band that sounds bland and has lost the cutting edge of a good rock band, but you guys got the mix just right. It was great to see the dance floor just as full whilst you were playing less known classic Wishbone Ash as it was when you played better known recent chart stuff or well known timeless rock classics from the 60's 70's and 80's. Volume is another issue, too loud and you not only get complaints from the wrinklies, but also causes many to drift to the back of the room away from the dance floor, not loud enough and again the sound becomes thin and bland. You guys obviously are well experienced at getting the sound check just right increasing it when the party mode demands it but never over doing it.

Finally enthusiasm is contagious and there is nothing worse than a band going through the motions but not entering the party spirit themselves. We got the impression you enjoyed playing just as much as we enjoyed listening to you and that was underlined by your playing until we had all danced ourselves to a standstill. We have had nothing but praise from our guests about what a great band we had booked and if we were arranging a wedding again tomorrow you would be the first call we would make to ensure we booked you before anyone else did.
Thank you again for a great night's entertainment. You were very professional, completely reliable, very competent musicians, and above all great entertainment.

Feel free to give my email address to anyone you want to supply with a reference in the future. We do not yet have all the wedding photos edited, but when we do we will send you some of the band playing and our guests gyrating away on the dance floor.

Many thanks once more. Best wishes Gary Nicholas
